Colin's annual MRIs 3/22/10

Good news, everyone---- We just went to St. Jude's for Colin's annual MRIs and checkups. Everything is stable and unchanged comparing to MRIs over the last few years. He is almost 8 years from diagnosis and he is declared a 'Survivor of Pilomyxoid Astrocytoma', as stated on his medical reports now. I can't tell you many times I read his reports to read that again! He will continue to return for annual brain and spine MRIs and his other checkups (hearing, vision, neurology, psychology, and lab workups). There were a couple of very small (2 mm) areas of new bleeding around the proximity of the tumor site last year. This year they are unchanged and we are advised that they are insignificant. We do continue to pray for complete healing for Colin as well as no side effects of his treatment. Please pray with us for no bleeding issues or other late effects, as we faced this before, resulting in a hematoma. There had been an area near the tumor site that bled to the size of a golfball and was surgically removed, requiring a craniotomy in 2007. Thank you so much for caring about Colin and praying for him! The Lord continues to bless him and keep him well. We are so thankful to share this good report with you!! Love, Amy
