Stable MRI!

We are so happy to report that Colin's MRI is stable. It is unchanged from his previous MRI in February. Overall, everything went really well. All checkups and labs were normal. His hearing tests were also stable. Colin got through his MRI without any sedation again---he was completely still for one hour. He wasn't able to see me in the mirror, this time we were in a different MRI room, but I could sit beside the MRI table and hold onto his foot for reassurance. He said it helped even if he couldn't see anyone. It was reassuring to me to be able to touch him!
We visited the Danny and Marie Thomas Memorial Garden between appointments and I took this picture of Colin there. The garden is always so beautiful and peaceful. Colin asks me to go with him to see it each time we are there.
Colin enjoyed spending some time with our friend, Jordan, who also received the wonderful news of Stable MRI!!! Jordan and Colin are both on the same 6 month schedule so we usually get to see Jordan and his mom Susan at our checkups. It is always fun to talk with Susan and helps to support and get each other through these visits!
Thank you for praying for Colin. We are so blessed and so thankful for your prayers!
Have a wonderful Easter!

Steadfast Faith

We will be heading back to St. Jude's tomorrow for the semi-annual MRI and checkups. Colin and I will be leaving Tuesday evening at 5:45 and our flight returns at 9:55 Thursday night.

I just finished an excellent bible study series with Beth Moore on Life Today titled "Who do you Trust", focusing mainly on trusting God in difficult circumstances and having steadfast trust with all of our heart and mind no matter what. She shared a statement that is such a profound truth and has really touched my heart that I wanted to include in our journal:

"The very area that you tend to distrust God is the very area that He has most chosen to trust you".

If it is laid on your heart, please pray for Colin--for a safe and good MRI and reports, for normal lab values and checkups, and that we will have steadfast faith.
